Cripes, Mike! Hey that's very, very generous. Thanks very much for your kind offer: it is most appreciated. Uh, see what YouCanTry says. What I need more than $$$s right now is TIME! I've built up a few thou in the kitty from ASX trades, so when (if?) I get the time i'll make more cameras. Time. I have VCE this year + Uni classes one day a week. There's 0ne camera up in the hills @ the mo' - hopefully we'll get to retrieve it this weekend. Oh, and MC kindly brought another cam back from Gippsland. That one caught stacks of Bobucks (again!) at a site where they'd never been recorded before. Hah, precious suirveys missed them! We reckon there's a population migration or range expansion underway and they could be displacing Common Brushies and Ringtails. Possibly it's an effect of climate change? Maybe even worth writing up? This shows auto cameras can turn in scientifically useful results, without involving exotic critters like Thylacines or whatever. Best - D.

Hey Debbie,
If you want to be REALLY busy, try looking after some babies/toddlers! trust me, it's the toughest gig you'll ever do - Am I right guys? :-)
Makes you wonder what these fauna surveyors actually do, doesn't it?
I can just picture it: One night (probably on a Friday), review the images/photos - "Fox... Rabbit... Possum... Banidcoot... Possum, slightly greyer possum...". I guess I can forgive them the odd bobuck, coz you've gotta admit they do look like an old brush tail...
Maybe one evening: "Fox... rabbit... possum... stripey grey dog-like thing... hang on?!? Maybe don't tell anyone about that last one!" :-)
Cheers,
Mike.

I can just picture it: One night (probably on a Friday), review the images/photos - "Fox... Rabbit... Possum... Banidcoot... Possum, slightly greyer possum...". I guess I can forgive them the odd bobuck, coz you've gotta admit they do look like an old brush tail...No, not really. They look completely different in a close up shot. Shovel shaped nose and big boofy head. Also the round ears give them away. Half of them are jet black all over, so you can't really mistake those. Anyway, zoologists are supposed to know these things, right? Maybe one evening: "Fox... rabbit... possum... stripey grey dog-like thing... hang on?!? Maybe don't tell anyone about that last one!" :-)Watch this space? D.

Hi mingle - thank you - that is indeed a very generous offer and one that I'm sure we'd love to take you up on. For now I'll leave my answer cryptically at that, but as D says "watch this space"!
Chris.
