Here's a pretty good piece about the Younger Dryas Impact Event. The new journal that's mentioned is here .. Not much content yet - but then, it's early days. My take? Well, Martin Sweatman has a video series on Youtube (somewhere?) that pretty much definitively debunks the debunkers. That is to say, the YD Impact did definitely take place. The $64K question is, what long-term effects did it have - on the course of history, on the human race and much else?

Yeah, that's the dude. Okay, so ... there are folks who will perceive a few red flags. He seems to be back-slappin' good-buddies with a certain Graham Hancock, for one thing. But leave that aside for the mo'. He has a set of vids that present a comprehensive examination of the publications, pro and con, v/v the YD Impact Event. The literature is getting voluminous by now. The first vid is here --> The rest of his stuff is here, including the YD reviews mixed in. Guess you just have to rummage thru and pick'em out.

Came upon this paper which definitively links the Younger Dryas onset with traces of cosmic impact in Europe. Any reasonable person would have to concede there's no room for denial of the impact. But does that mean there was, ipso facto, a "super civilisation" extant in the late Ice Age, a-la Hancock? Err ... no. * Damn. Paywalled. And as yet, it's not available at Sci-Hub .. sci-hub.ee/

edit: Damn, Ian! I had to look up the meaning of ipso facto. So did I!
