Australia's tradition of militant unionism does achieve good wages and benefits for workers. However one downside is that cost-of-living is high as a result, which offsets workers' high wages. A no-win outcome đź’¸.

When you have owned/operated businesses you realise how the costs damage business growth and the only guy/s who don't get any extra are management and owners, they can only hope they make a profit to have something for themselves. Usually wind up working longer hours and have fewer breaks/holidays than "workers" employed under union awards.
