200 Ships stuck at the Panama Canal

I imagine there were no droughts prior to global warming/climate change but now of course things are so much worse that we have to reduce traffic and charge extra for ships to pass through the canal. Had we had droughts in the past we might have arranged to pump seawater to do the job.
