This photo's captioned the Denmark Cat. It's said to have been taken recently and I presume near Denmark in Western Australia. That's all I know. The legs look short and thick for a plain ordinary moggie to me. Anyone round here know anything about the pic? Like Bushcat ... ? Attachment Deleted

Well, I'd say that caption is spot-on. It's interesting that 99% (?) of the 'big-cat' photos show black cats. Here's an example: cryptomundo.com/cryptozoo-news/pussy-puma/A feral, obviously - look at the physiology, the scale of the plants and the track it's walking on. Much the same as the Denmark 'panther' I wonder if there would be so many big-cat sightings if they were white, or even tabby? :-) Mike.

Yes The pic was takes last Febuary by boys who were out for a ride on their bikes. One had a phone camera and took the pic. I have a friend living near Denmark. and as the boys knew he was interested in crypto they gave him a copy. There is an enlarged pic on the way, and the F catus front end is very obvious, as I have already stated. Small head and pointy ears. If anything the body is more bulky and shorterlegs than the Big Cats that I am familiar with. As already stated my friend Tracker-jack the jaguar man from Arizona picked it for a F Catus straight off and sent me a pic of an almost identical looking cat seen in Central Arizona and that was identified as a big house cat sized animal, a feral. My friends wife told me about a large white feline seen in her back yard. Don,t know how big, whether it was a feral or giant Aust wildcat. I am preparing photographic gear to send over to see if more pics can be obtained. However catnip oil is unobtainable in Aust. I have seeds on order, but that will take 6 months to grow plants to distill oil, to cook up a scent lure. If it doesn't lure cats it can be used as an insect repellent. I will also send my audio lure. If I have it on scream it will scare the bejeebers out of people for Kms around. Once I demonstrated cat screams with a screamer in Parachilna Gorge for my Cousin Clarence. He says that when he thinks of it his blood runs cold. I don't know about the people camped several Kms doown the gorge, they packed up and bolted. Regs. BC

Oh oh, another bummer, This picture has been around for 5 years or more allegedly taken S from Sydney. if that is not another bummer too. Gotta get busy and get the camera working on motion . Take my own pics. The Parachilna Gorge cat is still waiting for attention, and the Walkers Rocks cat is still in residence. The WR cat was seen a couple of weeks ago hiding among a mob of sheep. It has been seen before doing likewise, and made a run for the edge of the escarpment doing a belly crawl then it stood up and ran. I have wondered about it hiding among the sheep, is it using the sheep for cover? to get near kangaroos. Catnip cat lure is still on the agenda. BC

Well bummer or not, the head and neck clearly shows F catus and the legs are partly obscured in grass, so they are rather long legs indicating African wildcat. This is my belief and I will stick to it come hell or high water and the various jibes thrust in my direction. My friend Panther Pete, has a daughter living at Denmark, and she reports seeing an albino giant cat in her back yard. She said that it would have stood waist high on her, and when she emerged it went off in a leisurely manner. I will order a l'il Acorn MO camera, on our mutual friends recommendation, to send to WA, While I may order another for my own use. No use having the old Moultrie laying around so I will set that up in a remote place for a long term observation. Any pics obtained would have to have motion otherwise they would be branded fake. The word of an honest man no longer has any bearing now days, so it appears to me. Regs 2 all BC

Is there any reason to assume that the fence in the background is not a standard fence? The trees are saplings, the fence is probably 1.6 m high at most, the cat is a normal-range sized moggy - it's a long way forward from the back fence.
I think that picture is pretty unambiguous, I can't see it as anything other than a black F. cattus.

A wise man our thorny devil. Being a public servant, if he had publicly identified the animal as a panther etc, he would be out of work next day. From one that has been there and done that. BC

BC Oh Jeez! Now it's a conspiracy theory and Govt sackings over....(wait for it)....a cat!? Cover-ups over the spread of Ebola I can imagine, cover-ups over wartime atrocities I can imagine. But a cover-up over a cat? It appears you've lost the already tenuous grip on reality that you had, mate.

Well why not a cat, it is as good as anything. Bill Atkins of NSW Ag DEpt was demoted to lavatory cleaner after he said panther on public TV and David Pepper_Edwards, monkey expert, was sacked from Taronga Zoo for refusing to retract words he spoke confirming existence of giant Australian cats. A website I once had got a bad rough up and some of my friends were likewise treated. One of my friends, a vet, was restrained while Govt agents ratted his premises. And this is for real, not a theory. Anyway Dr Tommy tom tom, how about some news re your pet Tas Devils, quolls and the like, give them my love. I see they are well fed Also Dr Thomas , give it a go yourself, state publicly that there are giant feral cats loose in the bush, and see how you fare, are you willing to give it a go? you only have your lively -hood to lose. BC Ah giant "FERAL" cats, now, are they? I thought they were African cats brought by Phonecian traders (or some such tripe). I'll stand in the main street wearing a pink tutu shouting that there are feral cats in the bush....because there are. But I don't believe there are panthers/lions/pumas/jaguars/ocelots/Argentinian beaver-hunting cats etc etc.

The latest news I have heard from the Denmark region is that sheep are being killed North of Denmark. 150 have been killed and the killing is continuing.
